Week 8 of the regular season was packed, but Jaden Daniels led the Washington Commanders to a miraculous victory over the Chicago Bears with a play that will undoubtedly go down as the play of the year.

But other than Hail Mary, multiple starting quarterbacks suffered injuries in Sunday’s league game. Week 8 is over and we’ve got the latest news, injury updates, and more from across the NFL.

Packers QB Jordan Love out with groin injury

The Green Bay Packers won on Sunday afternoon, but lost quarterback Jordan Love in the process.

Love left a 30-27 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in the third quarter with a nasty blow to his back shortly after the whistle. He was slow to get up after plays and was replaced by Malik Willis with what the Packers called a groin injury.

Love’s future status is unknown, but manager Matt LaFleur said after the game that there is “obviously a high level of concern.” The Packers will host the Detroit Lions next Sunday afternoon. If Love isn’t ready for the crucial NFC North game, Willis will likely start.

Patriots QB Drake Maye ejected after being hit in the head

Patriots quarterback Drake Maye left the team’s win over the New York Jets early Sunday afternoon after taking a shot to the head.

Jets linebacker Jamian Sherwood had helmet-to-helmet contact with Maye from behind as Maye slipped in a scramble. No penalty was called for Sherwood, but May headed to the medical tent and missed the remainder of the game with a head injury. Jacoby Brissett replaced him and led the Patriots to a 25-22 victory.

Maye is currently receiving treatment for a concussion and it is unclear when he will be able to return to the Patriots. They play the Tennessee Titans next week. If Maye doesn’t clear protocols in time, Brissett will likely start. Brissett was the Patriots’ starting quarterback at the beginning of the season, but Maye replaced him earlier this month.

Stefon Diggs diagnosed with knee injury

Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs went down with a non-contact knee injury during Sunday afternoon’s close victory over the Colts.

Diggs’ right knee buckled awkwardly as he landed while running his second-half route, causing him to collapse to the turf in pain and eventually walk to the locker room. He did not return and is currently under evaluation. The details of his knee injury have not yet been revealed, but his condition does not seem to be good.

Diggs had a team-high five catches for 81 yards in downtime. The rest of the week is short, as the Texans also play the New York Jets on Thursday night.

Sunday was a tough day for injuries.

Sunday was a blast with exciting games, incredible plays, and wild finishes, but Week 8 was plagued by injuries. Here are some of the players who left yesterday’s game with injuries.

Packers QB Jordan Love: Left fielder with groin injury won against Jaguars.

Patriots QB Drake Maye: The left winger won against the Jets despite suffering a concussion from a helmet-to-helmet collision.

Texans WR Stefon Diggs: Left played in the win against the Colts despite suffering from a non-contact knee injury.
