Welcome to Week 5 of the school year!
There weren’t a lot of offensive fireworks in the NFL through the first four weeks of the season, but things changed in Week 5 when quarterbacks took over. In the first four weeks, there was only one instance in which a QB threw for at least 330 yards and three touchdowns (Jordan Love), but that all changed in Week 5, and so far he has thrown for at least 330 yards and three touchdowns in the same game. Four QBs have achieved those marks, including twice.
Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow put on a show during Baltimore’s 41-38 overtime win in Cincinnati. Jackson threw for 348 yards and 4 touchdowns, and Burrow threw for 392 yards and 5 touchdowns (the only other QBs to throw for at least 330 yards and 3 touchdowns in Week 5). are Kirk Cousins and Joe Flacco).
