Laurin Heinrich’s No. 77 AO Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R lost its pole position in the GTD Pro class for Sunday’s Battle on the Bricks after a technical infraction was found during post-qualifying inspection.
Heinrich’s championship-leading Porsche was found to not meet the minimum ground clearance and was entered at the back of the GT starting field.
This gives Nicky Catsburg in the No. 4 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R by Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports the pole position for tomorrow’s six-hour IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup race.
Parker Thompson’s No. 12 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3, which finished third in GTD, will also start from the back of the overall field due to the same infraction.
