Last year, TCU lost 35-28 to Texas Tech. TCU scored 21 points in the second half to keep the game close, but fell just short in the end. In last year’s loss, Taj Brooks gained 146 yards and a touchdown, overwhelming the Horned Frogs’ defense. The good news is Texas Tech will be visiting Fort Worth for this year’s Big 12 matchup. The bad news is that Brooks has gotten even better.
While we can always focus on Brooks, there are other names on the Raiders’ roster to keep an eye on. Texas Tech has X-factors all over the field despite losing several defensive players early in the season. Ahead of this Saturday’s Big 12 matchup, here is Texas Tech’s current depth chart.

Believe it or not, one of the most notable pieces outside of Texas Tech’s starting rotation is Micah Hudson. Although he hasn’t made a huge impact so far this season, fans are eager to see more of the true freshman on the field. Other than the starting 11 players on offense, there aren’t many players who have had a chance in a game.
Defensively, linebackers Jacob Rodriguez and Ben Roberts are players to watch. Both players have over 50 total tackles on the season, with four of those tackles for a loss. Watch for them to quickly make their presence known when TCU attempts to run the ball.
