After competing all season in the National League West and becoming two of the best teams in the National League in 2024, the National League Division Series between the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers is down to just one game. Game 5 is scheduled for Friday night at Dodger Stadium, and the series will feature fans throwing trash onto the field, Dave Roberts accusing Manny Machado of throwing the ball in the Los Angeles dugout, and Fernando Tatis・Everything happened up until junior year. There are incredible series.

The Padres will win eight of the 13 games the two teams will play in the 2024 regular season, sending Yu Darvish to the mound against Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Darvish appeared in three games against the Dodgers during the regular season, posting a 1.72 ERA, 12 strikeouts, and six walks in 15 2/3 innings. In Game 2 of this series, Darvish pitched 7.0 innings with three strikeouts in San Diego’s 10-2 win. Yamamoto made two starts against the Padres earlier this season, including the opener in South Korea, where Yamamoto only pitched one inning. In Game 1 of this series against the Padres, Yamamoto pitched five innings and allowed five runs.

The winner of Friday’s Game 5 will host the Mets, who defeated the Phillies in an NLDS matchup, in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series on Sunday.
