Which Carolina Panthers did you field in Week 8?

Here are the studs and duds from the 28-14 loss to the Denver Broncos.

No, no: QB Bryce Young

It wasn’t that Young was terrible. He looked more confident, made some accurate throws and had the most net passing yards (224) of any quarterback against Denver this season.

But between the two impressive touchdown drives that started and ended the road trip, there was a massive, bland cold cut. The offense still proved largely stagnant throughout the game, with Young throwing two more interceptions but not doing enough to definitively secure the starting job going forward. .

Stud: WR Jalen Coker

Coker had four catches for a career-high 78 receiving yards and scored his first NFL touchdown. The Panthers could turn to an undrafted rookie wideout to play goalie.

Misfire: Offensive line

It’s hard to tell because they don’t press much, but the Panthers boast one of the top offensive lines in the league this season. However, the Hog Morleys were a bit overwhelmed by the Broncos’ tough defense.

Running back Chuba Hubbard, who had 56 yards on 15 carries, was unable to create an opening and continued to put pressure on Young.

Stallion: DL Ashawn Robinson

Speaking of pressure, Robinson created it himself. He had five tackles and a game-high 2.0 sacks against Broncos quarterback Bo Nix.

Stallion: DL Shy Tuttle

Tuttle added his own work to the box score. He recorded seven tackles, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.

Bad guy: CB Mike Jackson

Jackson was successful in being targeted by a significant portion of the Broncos’ offense, thus accounting for the majority of his 10 tackles.
