Most days as a Reaper follow a similar schedule. At the beginning of each working day, you must scry for the assignment in the scrying bowl. You will know what assignments you will receive that day.

For a normal single reaping event, start preparing the main task.
Practice reaping on a mannequin Click on your Sim to perform scythe maintenance Select a bookshelf to research a challenge. When you’re ready to go, click Scry for Travel in Scry Bowl.
If you can’t find a Sim whose life is coming to an end, clicking on the Sim will give you the option to move the camera to the target you want to reap.
However, there are some alternative pruning assignments that can occur instead.
You might be faced with cleaning up after an event with multiple casualties, such as a comedy club comedy disaster or a cowplant emergency. For these, you will not be prompted to prepare and should proceed to your destination immediately.
Also, known (in-world) NPCs may be assigned Emotional Reaping, which means a disaster has occurred. Once on the scene, you can listen to a plea from one of your loved ones and decide for yourself the fate of the unlucky Sim.
The Reaper mission requires you to examine the body upon arrival to determine the cause of death. In our experience, the studies that helped us estimate the cause appeared to be random. Once your Sim understands that, they will be able to continue mowing with your chosen mowing style.
As a follow-up, you may be asked to speak to witnesses, request a reaping review, and return the urn to the family.
