Sarfaraz Khan scored 150 runs in the second innings of the opening Test against New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Sarfaraz, who is famous for scoring many runs in domestic cricket, finally played long innings in international cricket as well.

He is also preparing for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 match against Australia. The series starts on November 22nd in Perth.

Sarfaraz Khan has now hired a chef after wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant suggested him to improve his fitness ahead of the five Tests against Australia.

Suryakumar Yadav, who plays alongside Sarfaraz Khan for Mumbai in domestic cricket, revealed that Pant offered the 26-year-old a chef. For the record, Sarfaraz made his Ranji debut under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav.

“Sarfaraz has taken the help of the Indian team’s strength and conditioning coach and Rishabh Pant has arranged for a chef to take care of his meals. He will be attending the 2024 Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. I want to be in better shape for the upcoming season.Fitness is important in cricket and Sarfaraz is working hard,” Suryakumar told The Indian Express.

Sarfaraz has been criticized for his fitness in the past.

“His body looks fat, but he can face 450 balls and score a double hundred, a triple hundred. He has that skill. He wants to score a hundred points. He never skips a practice session. He wakes up at 5 a.m. and bats for an hour near his home, then joins the team bus on game days. After that, I’ll go back to the net and practice batting.”
