Sutton’s prediction: Arsenal vs Liverpool

(BBC)

Sutton expects to play all 380 Premier League games this season against a variety of different guests.

In Week 9, he will face Manchester United supporting rapper Nemzzz.

Sutton Prediction: 0-1

Liverpool had to fly home from RB Leipzig on Wednesday, but Arsenal had an even bigger problem.

Ricardo Calafioli had a great performance against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday, but was sent off after an awkward fall. I was at the Emirates and my gut feeling after seeing what happened was that he wouldn’t be suitable for Sunday.

Arsenal already have William Saliba suspended, which will be a big loss, so they will need to reorganize their backline.

There are rumors that Julian Timber might be suitable to play at left-back, but if that’s not the case and he plays against Oleksandr Zinchenko and Mohamed Salah, it seems likely that Salah will beat him. I would expect it.

Liverpool could use all of this to their advantage, but they will also be thinking about how lacking players Arsenal are in attack.

There’s a lot of talk about whether Bukayo Saka will be fit after missing the last two games, but Martin Odegaard is still sidelined.

Without them, Arsenal were unconvincing in front of goal against Shakhtar. Gabriel Jesus does a lot of good things for the team, but you’ll never root for him to the end.

So I base this prediction on what I saw against Shakhtar, which is that Arsenal were really flat throughout the whole game, combined with the injury doubt and Saliba’s absence.

I wouldn’t have predicted a Liverpool win if Saliba had played, but I feel Arsenal don’t have adequate cover if Calafiori and Timber don’t fit.

Everyone is saying this will be a big win for Liverpool and we will know more about them soon as they have some tough games ahead.

But they beat Chelsea and the team has enough knowledge and knowledge to stay on track.

Everyone reading this will be gunning for a 1-1 draw, but I don’t like sitting on the fence in big games like this and neither should you.

Nemzzz’s prediction: 2-3

I don’t like either of these teams. I’d like to say Arsenal will win, but Liverpool are playing really well at the top.
