Executive Vice President and CFO, Acentra Health

Acentra Health’s finance team, led by David Adams, has fully integrated multiple acquisitions, helped the company refinance debt and driven new business growth by achieving backlog ratios of over 1.5x.

“Ascentra Health is undergoing significant growth to better serve our clients and meet the increasing demand for care addressing behavioral health and health-related social needs,” said Adams. “Rapid expansion requires a team effort, and my Global Finance team’s passion for our mission and meticulous attention to detail have enabled us to achieve our ambitious growth goals while also undergoing significant organizational transformation.”

Reasons to watch

Adams and his team are focused on delivering on Acentra Health’s vision to be a key partner in public sector healthcare solutions, including building a secure financial foundation to enable the company’s continued growth and expand its expertise and capabilities to better serve its clients.

Areas of focus include continued investments in learning and training to develop employees and leaders; enhancing employee benefits to retain and attract top talent; advancing the use of AI to drive process efficiencies; developing technology-enabled solutions and clinical services that improve outcomes while also enhancing user experience; and delivering enhanced analytics that enable clients to leverage data to address the health-related social and behavioral health needs of the priority populations they serve.

“David is a strong servant leader who is passionate about driving better health outcomes both in his work at Ascentra Health and in his volunteer work in his local community,” said Todd Stottlemeyer, CEO of Ascentra Health. “He is a key strategic advisor and leader with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and private, public and private equity-backed organizations. We value his guidance in building the financial foundation that has contributed significantly to Ascentra Health’s successful growth trajectory since joining the company in 2019.”

Fun fact: Adams grew up in the New York City area as an avid Jets, Knicks and Islanders fan, but he’s also a Red Sox fan, and the CEO of Acentra Health is a Yankees fan, which makes for a fun office environment.
