Cook County Commissioner Bill Lowry is hosting a men’s health fair this week at the Apostolic Church on Dorchester Street in Woodlawn.

CHICAGO (WLS) — September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, and Cook County Commissioner Bill Lowry is a prostate cancer survivor.

For the fourth consecutive year, the commissioners will host a Men’s Health Fair this Thursday at Woodlawn.

Rowley appeared on ABC7 Chicago on Tuesday to expand on the case.

The event will be held at Apostolic Church of God, 6320 S. Dorchester Ave., Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.

This includes PSA tests, health screenings, vaccinations and a variety of free gifts.

Rowley also recently introduced a resolution to offer free health screenings to Cook County residents within 30 days of their birthday.
