Notre Dame has made college admissions history with the commitment of five-star forward Jalen Haralson, who made the pledge during a live broadcast on CBS Sports HQ and the 247Sports YouTube channel. Haralson, ranked No. 14 in the Class of 2025 according to 247Sports, is Notre Dame’s highest-ranked commit in the internet rankings era.

Haralson is the second five-star player to commit to the Fighting Irish in the 247Sports era, joining J.J. Sterling, No. 22 overall in 2022. Haralson is Notre Dame’s second 25-year commit, following Brady Kahler’s commitment earlier this week. Notre Dame’s class is currently projected fifth, according to 247Sports, behind Iowa State, Butler, Marquette and Kentucky.

Haralson took official visits to Michigan State, Indiana and Notre Dame last month. The La Lumiere School star in La Porte, Indiana is the No. 1 ranked player in the state and the fourth five-star prospect to commit in this class. The first domino to fall in the 2025 recruiting cycle came when five-star guard Darius Acuff Jr. committed to Arkansas in July. Since then, Isaiah Harwell (Houston), Jasper Johnson (Kentucky) and now Haralson (Notre Dame) have announced their commitments.
