JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County Health Department’s (TCHD) seasonal vaccine clinic will begin accepting appointments on Tuesday, Oct. 1. The clinic will provide the latest COVID-19 vaccines, as well as high-dose and regular flu vaccines.
Appointments are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:30am to 6:30pm, with Tuesdays and Thursdays reserved for individuals aged 12 years and older, and Wednesdays reserved for children aged 6 months to 11 years. Participants can choose to receive both the flu and COVID-19 vaccines at the same appointment or book separate appointments for each.
TCHD said supply allocations mean individuals will not be able to choose the brand of COVID-19 vaccine they receive. High-dose flu shots will only be available to people age 65 and older. TCHD noted that this year’s flu vaccine is trivalent, meaning it is designed to protect against three types of influenza viruses.
According to TCHD, free vaccines will be available to the uninsured, underinsured and children enrolled in Wyoming Medicaid, but supplies are limited. For insurance information, visit the TCHD website.
“The best way to reduce your risk and potential serious complications from COVID-19 and influenza is to get vaccinated each year,” TCHD said in a release.
Make your reservation at www.tetoncountywy.gov/SeasonalVax . This year, parents can make a reservation for their child under 12 and then add up to four other family members (of any age) to the same reservation.
“We hope this new system will make it easier for the whole family to get vaccinated with one appointment,” TCHD said in the release.
The clinic is located in the Target Plaza between Subway and Glamour Nails. If you have any questions, please call our hotline at (307) 732-8628.
