LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Updated flu and COVID-19 vaccines are now available at Southern Nevada Health District clinics.
The health department said vaccinations are available to people aged 6 months and older, and both vaccines can be administered during the same appointment.
According to SNHD, Clark County recorded 88 flu-related deaths and more than 1,400 hospitalizations during the 2023-2024 flu season. These numbers are significantly higher than previous flu seasons. During 2022-2023, the county recorded 48 deaths and 859 hospitalizations.
Most health insurance plans cover the vaccine, according to SNHD, and the CDC’s Childhood Vaccine Program and 317 Adult Vaccine Program are helping those who may not have insurance.
