At the October 23, 2024 Mercer Health Board of Directors meeting, the Board approved the purchase of the Grand Lake Galleria Conference Center in Celina. “It’s certainly been a long time coming, but we’re finally ready to move forward with the Galleria acquisition,” said John Dingledine, Mercer Health’s chief financial officer and chief operating officer. The official transfer of ownership will take place on November 18th.
“Purchasing the Galleria along with space in the adjacent Big Bear Building allows us to continue to serve the needs of the Celina community and our region,” Dingledin continued. The facility, currently owned by Quebec, Canada-based Rimmer Holding Corporation, is 60,000 square feet, of which Mercer Health currently occupies just under half. Mercer Health has leased space at the Galleria since bringing its primary care and pediatric services there in fall 2012. In the fall of 2015, Mercer Health transitioned and expanded its home care, medical equipment and rehabilitation services operations in the Galleria.
“For nearly 75 years, Mercer Health organizations have operated with a vision to provide locally managed, high-quality health care. Expanding and enhancing our services, locations, and technology is a commitment to our communities and their way of life. It’s a continuation of our efforts,” said Mindy Kremer, vice president of development, marketing and communications for Mercer Health.
Mercer Health has been serving the community since 1950 and is committed to supporting our community. Being named a Top 20 Rural and Regional Hospital in 2024 affirms our commitment to local quality care.
